The iPad 3 is a touchscreen tablet, model of the third generation of iPad from the Apple brand, presented during a keynote by Tim Cook on March 7, 2012 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and went on sale in ten countries on March 16, 2012. The device features a Retina display, an Apple A5X SoC with a quad-core graphics processor, a 5-megapixel camera, 1080p video recording, voice dictation and support for LTE networks in North America. It runs the iOS 5 operating system, which also provides a platform for audiovisual media, including e-books, periodicals, movies, music, computer games, presentations and Internet browsing.
